Meth, Suspected Fentanyl Recovered During Arrest In Rossyln Parking Lot
Arlington police say they recovered methamphetamine and suspected fentanyl pills during early morning bust in a Rosslyn parking lot.

ARLINGTON, VA — Arlington County Police recovered methamphetamine, suspected fentanyl pills, and drug paraphernalia in connection to the arrest of two men early Monday in Rossyln, according to authorities.
Around 1:58 a.m., officers responded to a parking lot in the 1300 block of North Pierce Street for the report of a suspicious person. Once there, the officers encountered two men inside a car, with drug paraphernalia in plain view, according to the incident report.
"Following the execution of a search warrant on the vehicle, officers recovered approximately 61 grams of methamphetamine, suspected fentanyl pills, a vial of eutylone and multiple drug ingestion devices," according to police. Eutylone is a designer drug of the phenethylamine class, according to the Drug Enforcement Agency.

The officers determined that one of the men was wanted out of Orange County, Virginia, according to ACPD. They took him into custody on the outstanding warrant.
Police identified the second man as 49-year-old Joey Turner from Annadale. He was arrested and charged with possession of schedule I/II controlled substance and possession with intent to distribute controlled substance, according to police.

On Tuesday morning, Turner was arraigned in Arlington General District Court and a preliminary hearing was set for 11:30 a.m. on Sept. 23, according to court records.
If convicted on the drug possession charge, which is a Class 5 felony,Turner faces a possible prison sentence of one to 10 years, confinement in jail for up to one year and/or a fine of up to $2,500, according to the Code of Virginia. The possession with intent to distribute is also a felony.
ACPD also served Turner with a warrant issued by Orange Circuit Court for a probation violation connected to another felony charge, according to court records.
No information was available about the second man wanted on an Orange County warrant or whether any charges were filed against him, according to police.
