New Egg-Centric Restaurant Opening In Arlington: Report
A restaurant will be taking over a space formerly run by embattled restaurateur Mike Isabella.
ARLINGTON, VA — A new restaurant has settled in an Arlington space once occupied by embattled D.C.-area restaurateur Mike Isabella, according to a report.
The Washington Business Journal reports that an egg-centric restaurant from chef Victor Albisu will move into 1,500 square feet at 4000 Wilson Boulevard in Ballston, where Isabella's Japense restaurant Yona once operated.
The restaurant will have dishes that have eggs at the center with a Latin twist. Albisu plans to open Huevos, a fast-casual Latin restaurant that will serve egg dishes, coffee, and alcohol, reports DC Eater.

Isabella's restaurant empire came crumbling down last year after his restaurant group filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy, according to a Washingtonian report.
It was a stunning fall from glory for Isabella, who rose to prominence on the popular TV cooking competition Top Chef and went on to create a company that would once be worth $40 million and feature popular restaurants like Kapnos.

The bankruptcy application included the restaurants Kapnos, G, Arroz, Pepita, Yona, and Kapnos Taverna, as well as restaurants that have already closed down: Kapnos Taverna College Park, Requin Brasserie, and Isabella Eatery.
Isabella's restaurants include locations in D.C. as well as Arlington.
A Chapter 7 bankruptcy means the company will cease operations and liquidate its assets. The move comes after Isabella battled accusations of sexual harassment and a toxic "bro culture" at his restaurants. Staff also reportedly claimed he drinks excessively.
