New School Bus Cameras to Fine Drivers Who Don't Stop
In an effort to keep students safe, school bus video cameras will be installed Feb. 1.

Cameras will catch drivers who don’t stop for school buses with flashing signals and subject them to a fine.
The Arlington County Board approved high-resolution cameras to be installed on school bus arms Tuesday.
“Too many times, drivers ignore the flashing lights and the side-mounted stop sign/signal arms, and drive right by stopped buses – endangering the kids who are getting out of those buses,” Arlington County Board Chair Jay Fisette said.
