54 Vehicle Windows Shattered In Arlington In New Wave Of Vandalism
The windows of about 54 vehicles were shattered with a BB gun between Tuesday night and Thursday morning across Arlington, police said.
ARLINGTON, VA — The windows of about 54 vehicles were shattered with a BB gun between Tuesday night and Thursday morning across Arlington, according to the Arlington County Police Department.
The latest vandalism follows a similar spree of shattered car windows in Rosslyn and other areas of Arlington that occurred last Thursday night and early Friday morning. Arlington County Police said detectives will investigate these new cases of vandalism in connection with last week’s reported vandalism of at least two dozen car windows.
In last week’s vandalism, police said the damage was caused by an “unknown object.” With the vandalism that occurred this week, police said the windows were shattered using a BB gun.

Information can be reported to the Arlington County Police Department’s tip line at 703-228-4180 or ACPDTipline@arlingtonva.us.
Since Oct. 21, there have been 81 vehicles reported with damaged windows, ACPD spokeswoman Ashley Savage told ARLnow.
“It’s important to note that since some of these reports are filed online and the reporting party does not always note if the damage appears to be from a BB gun, some of these reports may ultimately be determined not to be part of the series,” Savage told the news outlet.
