All-Clear After Active Shooter Scare At Ballston Mall
Police have given the all-clear after an active shooter investigation at the Ballston Common Mall.

ARLINGTON, VA — Police are still investigating after an active shooter scare at the Ballston Common Mall on Saturday night, but there is no evidence of any shooting.
Authorities warned people to stay away from the mall, and numerous photos and video on social media show dozens of emergency vehicles at the scene.
However, police say they have yet to find any evidence of a shooting or any victims. After about an hour, they announced the all-clear.

UPDATE: The preliminary search of the theater has completed. All individuals sheltering in place have been evacuated. Police remain on scene investigating and a police helicopter is assisting. No evidence of a shooting has been located.

At approx 8:42 pm police responded to the report of a possible shooting inside a movie theatre at the Ballston Quarter. The investigation has not located any evidence of a shooting or any victims. The theatre remains in shelter in place while we conduct a search.
