GOP's anti-Trump movement isn't giving up, and now they have a candidate to push as an alternative: Arlington resident Evan McMullin, a CIA veteran and chief policy director of the House Republican conference, according to multiple media outlets.

Mayor to Resign After Meth-for-Sex Charges

Fairfax City Mayor Scott Silverthorne has announced he will resign from office later this week. Silverthorne was arrested Thursday on charges that he offered undercover detectives meth in exchange for sex at a Tysons Corner hotel.

Councilmember Jeffrey Greenfield is serving as acting mayor since Silverthorne's arrest on charges of felony distribution of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
