Robbers Smash Man's Cell Phone In Arlington: Police
A man was looking at his cell phone in Arlington when two unknown men approached him.

ARLINGTON, VA -- Police are looking for two suspects after a man was assaulted and had his cell phone smashed in Arlington Friday.
Police were called to the 200 block of N. Thomas Street at around 12:19 a.m. on Jan. 25 to a report of an armed robbery, according to a report from the Arlington County Police Department.
"Upon arrival it was determined that the victim was looking at his cell phone when he was approached by two unknown suspects," the report states. "One suspect asked the victim for change and when he advised he did not have any, he was assaulted by the suspects."

After the assault, one of the men pulled out a knife and demanded the victim's cell phone, destroying it before fleeing on foot, police say.
The victim was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.

Police described the suspects as follows: "two black males in their 20’s, ranging in height from 5’10” to 6’ [who] were wearing dark clothing at the time of the incident."
