Rotating Skydome Restaurant In Arlington Reopens With New Dinner Menu
Skydome, a unique rotating restaurant with great views of D.C., has reopened atop the DoubleTree by Hilton Crystal City Hotel in Arlington.

ARLINGTON, VA — Skydome, a unique rotating restaurant, has reopened atop the DoubleTree by Hilton Crystal City Hotel in Arlington. The restaurant, which closed during the COVID-19 pandemic, also underwent a conceptual redesign.
The restaurant’s menu now features contemporary American fare through a Mediterranean lens, served under the direction of Executive Chef Klaus Happel and bar selections created by Haley Stone.
Skydome's dining room has a capacity of 100 with flexible seating options, allowing for private or semi-private events for up to 125 standing. The space can be configured in a variety of ways with different serving styles based on preference.

The restaurant can create personalized menus for a range of receptions, buffets, or plated multi-course meals. The center of the restaurant, under the glass dome, can be used as a dance floor or performance space as well.
The DoubleTree by Hilton Crystal City Hotel, with the 1970s-era Skydome restaurant on the 15th floor, opened in 1973 as a Quality Inn, later becoming a DoubleTree.

Chef Happel has worked in more than 10 cities around the world in his 30-year career. He has created an inspired menu to match the impressive view from Skydome, according to the restaurant.
