Sexual Assault In Arlington's Courthouse Area Possibly Linked To Earlier Assault: Police
The Arlington County Police Department is investigating a sexual assault that occurred early Wednesday morning in the Courthouse area.
ARLINGTON, VA — The Arlington County Police Department is investigating a sexual assault that occurred early Wednesday morning in the Courthouse area.
Detectives from the police department’s Special Victims Unit are investigating the incident as possibly linked to an incident that occurred on April 2 in the Ballston-Virginia Square neighborhood.
Shortly before 5 a.m. on Wednesday, Arlington police were dispatched to the 2200 block of Clarendon Boulevard for the report of an assault.

When they arrived, police determined the suspect gained entry into the female victim’s residence, entered her bedroom and touched her inappropriately. The victim screamed, and the suspect fled from the residence on foot, police said.

In the April 2 incident, the suspect broke into the female victim’s residence, went into her bedroom and sexually assaulted her before fleeing the scene on foot.
The suspect is described as a Black male with an average build and about 5-feet, 8-inches to 5-feet, 10-inches tall.
