ARLINGTON, VA -- Police arrested a man after they say he stabbed someone he had gotten into a fight with earlier this week.

Police were called to the 800 block of S. Walter Reed Drive at around 11:13 p.m. on May 7 to a report of a fight, according to a report from the Arlington County Police Department.

"[D]uring a dispute between known individuals the suspect produced a knife and struck the male victim. The suspect fled in a vehicle prior to police arrival," the report states. "Arriving officers rendered aid to the victim, who was transported by medics to an area hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries."

Police arrested 32-year-old Suppawat Duangsawang of Falls Church on a charge of malicious wounding. He is being held without bond.
