'Suspicious Letter' At Joint Base Myer Causes Police Response

ARLINGTON, VA -- A suspicious letter delivered to Joint Base Myer in Arlington was cleared of any hazards on Thursday.

Joint Base Myer Henderson-Hall tweeted at 5 p.m. that base police and other agencies investigated the suspicious letter that was delivered on the Fort Myer portion of the joint base.

"It was determined to not have any dangerous substance on or in it," they said. "There was no risk to the safety of any of our families or personnel. Pedestrian and vehicle traffic, along with building access is back to normal in the vicinity of Building 417 where the JBM-HH library and other organizations are located."
