Taco Bamba's New Shirlington Restaurant To Feature Special Menu, Mural
Taco Bamba's second location in Arlington will be opening on Thursday, June 29 in Shirlington, with a full bar, patio and original artwork.

ARLINGTON, VA — Taco Bamba’s second location in Arlington will be opening on Thursday, June 29 in Shirlington, with a full bar, patio and original artwork.
The Shirlington location will be the chain’s 10th restaurant in the D.C. area. In 2020, Taco Bamba opened a restaurant in Ballston at 4000 Wilson Blvd., its first location in Arlington.
The first fifty guests to order at the register on the opening day of Taco Bamba’s Shirlington location will receive a complimentary travel mug. Taco Bamba serves free coffee every day with any purchase until mid-afternoon.

Located at 4041 Campbell Ave. in the Village at Shirlington, Taco Bamba, with 2,100-square-feet of space, will have a full menu, including tacos, quesadillas, nachos, empanadas and cocktails.
"Taco Bamba celebrates its milestone 10-year-anniversary in June while opening our tenth location in Shirlington," Victor Albisu, the chef and founder of Taco Bamba, said in a statement. "Ten years and 10 locations later, staring down our most ambitious year of growth yet, I’m filled with gratitude for our Taco Bamba family, our guests, and for the opportunity to bring a second location to Arlington."

On Tuesday, Taco Bamba also announced that it will be opening its first location in Richmond in The Shops at Willow Lawn at 1601 Willow Lawn Drive in early 2024.
Architecture firm Project 308 designed the 2,100-square-foot space in Shirlington. All new Taco Bamba locations feature original artwork. But Taco Bamba said its Shirlington location will come with more flare than most.
The wall adjacent to the bar features a mural by local artist, Selene Mendez, depicting the restaurant’s rooster mascot in a cartoon battle with a crow, symbolic of the feathered flocks who have recently plagued the Shirlington shopping district.
The opposite wall features a mural by artist, Alexa Indriolo, “Taco Bamba Revolution” with the silhouette of a rooster also ready for battle.
Taco Bamba's Shirlington location will be open Sunday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Happy hour at Taco Bamba is weekdays from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
