Thanksgiving Baskets Available At Lidl In DC Area For Less Than $30
Lidl is offering Thanksgiving baskets to shoppers in the Washington, D.C., area that can feed up to 10 people for less than $30.

ARLINGTON, VA — Lidl is now offering a Thanksgiving basket to shoppers in the Washington, D.C., area that can feed a Thanksgiving meal to up to 10 people for less than $30.
The baskets are available at all of Lidl’s stores, starting Wednesday, Nov. 2, for as long as supplies last.
Lidl said its Thanksgiving basket is modeled after items selected by the American Farm Bureau Federation for its annual Thanksgiving Dinner Cost Survey.

In 2021, the Farm Bureau’s survey of grocery stores nationally found the average cost of its basket to be more than $53. Recent data released by the U.S. Department of Agriculture also showed that the average price for frozen turkey is $1.99 per pound, which is 73 percent higher than in 2021.
"We are proud to offer shoppers at Lidl a delicious Thanksgiving dinner with all the fixings for less than $30,” Stefan Schwarz, Lidl US chief product officer, said in a statement. “We hope our low prices give families some financial relief as they come together this holiday season.”

Lidl’s Thanksgiving basket includes a 13-pound frozen turkey for 49 cents per pound, $1.50 below the national average. The basket also comes with 16 ounces of sweet peas; 12 ounces of fresh cranberries; a 3-pound bag of sweet potatoes; one whole stalk of celery; 16 ounces of baby carrots; 18 ounces of turkey stuffing mix; 12 Hawaiian sweet rolls; one pint of heavy whipping cream; a 30-ounce container of pumpkin pie mix; two pie crusts; and one gallon of whole milk.
The basket is available through Lidl’s free-to-use loyalty program, myLidl.
Lidl operates 29 stores in the D.C. area. The grocer's U.S. headquarters is located in Arlington.
