U.S. Service Member Killed In Syria
The service member died due to injuries sustained in a vehicle roll over.
A U.S. service member has died because of injuries sustained during a vehicle roll over in Syria on Friday, the combined joint task force, Operation Inherent Resolve, said in a statement.
No further information was available. The deceased service member will be identified by the Department of Defense.
The casualty in Syria comes just a few weeks after a Navy SEAL was killed in Somalia during an operation against the terrorist group al-Shabaab.
