Vehicle Stolen In Arlington Carjacking Found In Maryland: Police

A man was carjacked in Crystal City Wednesday night when a suspect displayed a gun and another suspect drove off with the man's vehicle.

ARLINGTON, VA — A man was carjacked in Crystal City Wednesday night when three suspects pulled up alongside the man’s vehicle, displayed a gun and demanded the vehicle, according to the Arlington County Police Department.

Shortly after 8 p.m. on Wednesday, police were dispatched to the 2200 block of Crystal Drive for a report of carjacking. When they arrived, the victim told police that he was inside his vehicle when three male suspects pulled up alongside him, police said.

After one of the suspects displayed the gun, the victim got out of his vehicle and another suspect entered the vehicle and fled the scene in the stolen vehicle. The vehicle driven by one of the suspects followed the stolen vehicle, according to police.

The victim was not injured in the carjacking.

During the police investigation, the stolen vehicle was recovered in Prince George’s County, Maryland. The suspect who drove away in the stolen car is described as a Black male, about 6-feet-1-inches to 6-feet 3-inches tall, and about 20 years old. He was wearing a mask.

The suspect who displayed the gun and the third suspect are described as young Black males wearing masks.
