West Coast-Inspired Café And Bookstore Opens At National Landing

ARLINGTON, VA — A West Coast-inspired café and bookstore recently opened at 1550 Crystal Drive in the heart of National Landing.

Positioned across from Water Park, Daydrift from Episcope Hospitality offers nourishing meals, wellness-forward drinks, and a dish that match with the café 's thoughtfully curated selection of books, according to a release.

Drawing on global influences, Chef Brad McDonald, a Mississippi native, designed a menu that emphasizes clean flavor-forward dishes, such as:

• Hummus Bowl with sumac-roasted carrots and labneh
• Macro Bowl with quinoa, black bean crumble, and ginger-carrot vinaigrette
• Genovese Toast with whipped ricotta, green pea pesto, and soft herbs

"Fresh pastries, including hazelnut chocolate chip cookies, ham and cheese croissants, and a cult-worthy vegan banana snickerdoodle, is served daily until they sell out," according to a release. "Daydrift offers espresso classics, smoothie blends such as Yellow Sunrise (mango, banana, coconut milk + collagen), and vibrant, feel-good juices including Fresh Start (kale, ginger, apple, pineapple)."

Daydrift's new National Landing location is open weekdays from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., and weekends, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
