What's Open, Closed On Presidents Day 2023 In Arlington

ARLINGTON, VA — Many workers and students in Arlington will get a long weekend for Presidents Day on Monday, Feb. 20.

George Washington's birthday is Feb. 22, but the federally observed Presidents Day falls on the third Monday in February.

At nearby Mount Vernon, there will be free admission on Presidents Day and Wednesday, Feb. 22. Tickets will be limited and distributed on site.

Government offices, schools and other services will be closed on Feb. 20, while other services like transit may have schedule changes.

Arlington County government offices: Closed Monday, Feb. 20.

Arlington Public Schools: Closed Monday, Feb. 20.

Courts: The Arlington Circuit Court, General District Court, Juvenile & Domestic Relations Court will be closed on Monday, Feb. 20.

Parking: Permit parking is always in effect unless specifically noted on the sign. Meters are not enforced on holidays.

Libraries: Arlington Public Libraries will be closed Monday, Feb. 20.

Trash Pickup & Recycling:

• Recycling/Trash/Organics Curbside Routes: Regular collection on Monday, Feb. 20.

Parks & Recreation Facilities & Programs: All community centers, administrative offices and classes are closed Monday, Feb. 20. League members should check with their leagues on schedules. The Long Bridge Aquatics & Fitness Center is closed Monday, Feb. 20. Parks in Arlington will be open on Presidents Day.
