Woman Attacks Cops At Pentagon City Mall: Police

Police say a woman was yelling and acting disorderly at the mall, and fought against responding officers.

ARLINGTON, VA -- A woman is behind bars after a wild scene at the Fashion Centre at Pentagon City recently, police say.

Police were called to the 1100 block of S. Hayes Street -- the address of the mall -- at around 10:13 a.m. on Dec. 20 to a report of a disorderly woman, and found her "yelling and acting disorderly inside the mall," according to a report from the Arlington County Police Department.

"As the officer approached the suspect, she grabbed the officer by the arm to pull him towards her, punched him with a closed fist and kicked him multiple times before she was taken into custody," the report states.

The officer was uninjured, and police say the woman continued to be uncooperative, refusing to provide any personal information either at the scene or in booking.

As a result, they booked her under the name "Jane Doe" and charged her with assault and battery on police and failure to ID. She is being held without bond.
