ARLINGTON, VA -- Police are investigating after a scary incident for a woman in Arlington who they say saw a stranger staring directly into her home.

Police were called to the 800 block of S. Greenbrier Street at around 12:40 a.m. on June 20 to a report of a peeping, according to a report from the Arlington County Police Department.

"[T]he victim observed someone walking back and forth outside her window," the report states. "The victim subsequently walked over to the window to investigate and observed the male suspect looking directly into the residence. The victim screamed and banged on the window, prompting the suspect to flee on foot prior to police arrival."

Police described the suspect as a black man 30-40 years old with a buzz cut and wearing a light-colored t-shirt.
