ARLINGTON, VA -- Police are looking for a suspect after a frightening incident in the Nauck neighborhood in Arlington earlier this week.

The victim was inside her home in the 2000 block of S. Kenmore Street at around 11 p.m. on June 10 when she "observed an unknown male suspect looking into the residence through a window," according to a report from the Arlington County Police Department.

"Upon making eye contact with the suspect, the victim ran out of the room to seek assistance, prompting the suspect to flee prior to police arrival," the report states. "Arriving officers canvased the area with negative results."

Police described the suspect as a black man wearing a mask.
