Work Week Weather: Blazing Heat Coming To Arlington
Summer is knocking on the door in Arlington, and we're going to feel a taste of it this week.

ARLINGTON, VA — We hope you weren't too attached to spring in Arlington, because you need to get ready to jump right into summer (hopefully temporarily).
The Washington Post's Capital Weather Gang is calling for a "dramatic" warming trend this week that will send temperatures to near 90 degrees in the D.C. area by Thursday.
So enjoy the spring weather while you can. Monday will be absolutely beautiful, a breezy day with mostly sunny skies and highs in the mid 60s to near 70 degrees.

But by Tuesday, you start to feel the heat. Temperatures will inch toward 80 degrees by the afternoon. And then Wednesday through Friday is when it starts cookin', with highs reaching 80 to 85 on Wednesday and then 85 to 90 on Thursday and Friday, CWG says.
It will be mostly dry, although we could get showers Friday evening thanks to a cold front that could give us a little temperature relief this weekend, dropping temps to the 70s with lows in the 50s.

Unfortunately, this may be a taste of the scorching hot summer we are likely to get this year.
