Wreck Kills Participant in Rolling Thunder Ride
The man died in crash after leaving the rally in Washington, D.C., on Sunday, according to Virginia State Police.

ARLINGTON, VA — A participant in the Rolling Thunder Ride died Sunday afternoon in a wreck following the D.C. event.
The man was identified as Craig A. Vanbrunt, 66, of Pendleton, Ind.
Vanbrunt was leaving the event, traveling west on I-66 near the 74 mile marker with a group of motorcycles in heavy traffic. He attempted to stop when approaching the Rosslyn Tunnel and was unable to break, according to Virginia State Police.

The motorcycle crashed and Vanbrunt fell from the bike. He was wearing a helmet, according to police.
The man was transported to George Washington University, where he died Sunday evening.
