Yorktown High School Student Found Unconscious At School

A high school student was transported to the hospital after they were found unconscious in a restroom from self-inflicted injuries Friday.

ARLINGTON, VA — An Arlington high school student was transported to the hospital after they were found unconscious in a restroom from self-inflicted injuries Friday, police said.

Police responded to Yorktown High School at about 9 a.m. for the report of a CPR in progress. Police believe the student's injuries are self-inflicted.

The student was transported to Virginia Hospital Center in critical condition by Arlington County Fire Department medics. At this time, there is no update on the student's condition.

Bridget Loft, Yorktown’s principal, wrote a letter to the community saying the school will provide additional counselors to students in need.
