13th Annual Family Stream Day in Ashburn Saturday
Loudoun County's annual Family Stream Day offers a hands-on outdoor environmental education activities for students and families alike.

Bring your family and friends Loudoun County’s 13th Annual Family Stream Day,
The free event takes place this Saturday, Oct. 18 at Lyndora Park on Lucketts Bridge Circle in Ashburn from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Co-sponsored by the Loudoun Watershed Watch and the Loudoun Environmental Stewardship Alliance, the event is held once a year to “raise watershed awareness” by highlighting World Water Monitoring Day (Sept. 18, formerly Oct. 18 until 2007) and the anniversary of the Clean Water Act (Oct. 18).

Students and families can participate in interactive, hands-on activities that teach about local watersheds and the plants and animals supported by these streams and streamside habitats. Participants will also learn ways to test stream water quality and the various ways we benefit from and impact streams.
