Ashburn Author Recognized for Book on Energy Medicine
The holistic nurse and energy-healing therapist has three-decade history in health care.
Ashburn author Heidi DuPree’s first book, “The Other Medicine That Really Works: How Energy Medicine Can Help You Heal in Body, Mind, and Spirit,” recently won recognition at two ceremonies.
DuPree, a holistic nurse and energy-healing therapist with a practice in her home community, won the Health: Alternative Medicine category of the 2013 International Book Awards. In addition, DuPree was named a finalist in the Body, Mind, Spirit category of the 2013 National Indie Excellence Book Awards.
“It’s really about recognizing our health issues as messages from deep within us,” said DuPree, a three-decade resident of Loudoun County.
