The summer season ushers in events like food festivals, fireworks, carnivals, Pride Festival and more around Ashburn and Loudoun County.

ASHBURN, VA — As the days are getting warmer, more people are heading outside to enjoy the beautiful weather and increasing number of events in Ashburn and Loudoun County. The summer is shaping up to have a packed lineup of events, from food festivals and cultural events to fireworks and a parade.

While summer doesn't start until June 20, the season unofficially kicked off around Memorial Day weekend. A few of the early summer highlights will be the Loudoun Pride Festival, Strawberry Jubilee Fest at Great Country Farms, Western Loudoun Art & Studio Tour, Play All Day VA, One Loudoun Carnival and Appalachian Trail Festival.

Around the Fourth of July, residents can expect returning favorites like the Star Spangled Sterling, Star Spangled South Riding, What a Blast! at Hal & Berni Hanson Regional Park, Leesburg Independence Day Celebration, Purcellville Independence Day Parade, Fourth Fest at Claude Moore Park and more.
