ASHBURN, VA — Virginia has a storied tradition of military service, with countless individuals dedicating their lives to protecting our nation. While words can't fully capture the immense gratitude we feel for our servicemen and women, Patch has partnered with T-Mobile to highlight a few remarkable veterans and active-duty military members from our state.

How do you know the military hero you’re nominating?

I am her husband. We accidentally fell in love, we thought it would just be a spring romance but here we are over thirty years later. She was the most unique presence in any room then, and she's still that same unstoppable force today as an entrepreneur and wine book author.

Please describe the individual’s military service.

Renee was a US Navy Cryptologist who served in Bad Aibling, Germany, where she was the first junior enlisted sailor stationed on the base, where she earned a Joint Service Achievement Medal during the Gulf War. She also served in Rota, Spain, where she met her husband, fellow veteran, Don Ventrice.

Tell us about the military hero and what your community should know about them.

Renee ran our winery and brewery tour company with no experience running a business, & turned it into an international award-winning venture. After profitably selling it in 2023, she remained in the wine industry as founder of WineauxClock®️ Culinary Experiences, and is a speaker and marketing Strategist, teaching how she organically reached the top.
