Assistance League Joins Other Nonprofits at Volunteer Fair

Assistance League of Northern Virginia was one of 20 nonprofit organizations invited to participate in the first Corporate Social Responsibility and Volunteer Recruitment Fair, hosted by Northwest Federal Credit Union at its campus in Herndon. The Fair was sponsored by Northwest, the Dulles Area Transportation Association, the Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce, and the Dulles Regional Chamber of Commerce. Attendees included local business leaders and Chamber members who circulated through the room gathering information about the nonprofits. The organizers devised an interesting tool to facilitate that circulating. Attendees received a bingo-style page that nonprofits marked after a visit to their table.

Assistance League is very grateful to the president of Northwest Federal for sponsoring this event and appreciated the opportunity to discuss its programs with so many interested visitors. The nonprofit also welcomed the opportunity to build partnerships and raise awareness about the good works so many nonprofits are doing in the community.
