Attempted Murder Charge For Man Who Shot At Cops In Loudoun: LCSO

A Reston man faces a murder charge after shooting at police in Paeonian Springs, the LCSO announced Monday night.

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA—A man faces a murder charge after shooting at police last Thursday in the 23000 block of Peacock Circle in Paeonian Springs, the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office announced Monday night. Hyeong J. Suh, 29, of Reston, was charged with one count of attempted capital murder, as well as breaking and entering.

Around 3:30 p.m. on Jan. 17, police responded to the aforementioned address for a trespassing complaint. A witness told them a man had broken into a trailer on the property—a trailer that contained firearms. Before policed arrived, the man—Suh—was heard firing a weapon on the property.

When officers arrived, say police, Suh fired a weapon several times, including rounds at two deputies. They exchanged gunfire, wounding Suh, who barricaded himself in the trailer before coming out shortly thereafter and surrendering without incident.
