Bitter Cold Prompts Warming Station To Open Monday In Sterling
With highs Monday struggling to reach 20, according to the NWS, Loudoun County will operate a warming station Monday for those 18 and older.

STERLING, VA—With highs Monday struggling to reach 20, according to the National Weather Service, Loudoun County will operate a warming station in the Sterling Community Center 8 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday at 120 Enterprise Street. It'll be open for adults 18 and older. Free transportation will be provided from the Douglass Community Center in Leesburg to Sterling, with a shuttle bus departing from Douglas at 8 a.m.
Also, from the county: "The Loudoun County Cold Weather Shelter is open through March 31, 2019, at the Sterling Community Center for adults in the community who are experiencing a housing crisis resulting in homelessness. The shelter, which provides a warm indoor sleeping environment, is open from 9:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. seven nights a week. In addition to a place to sleep, the shelter provides case management, mental health services and other resources."
