Claude Moore Rec Center Pool Reopens

The competition pool at Loudoun County’s Claude Moore Recreation Center reopened Thursday at 3 p.m. after being drained, cleaned and refilled to remove debris from the pool and surrounding areas.

The pool has been closed since Oct. 6 to remove debris from an overhead light fixture that came unhinged from its mount, fell to the ground and shattered.

To ensure the public’s safety, the security of all light fixtures was assessed.
