LEESBURG, VA—Ever feel as if ever-changing technology has put you at a disadvantage when it comes to looking for work? Well, the Loudoun County Workforce Resource Center is having a free workshop aimed toward alleviating such feelings 1-2:30 p.m. Thursday, May 23, in Rust Library at 380 Old Waterford Road.
The aptly titled "Job Search in the Digital Age" seminar will be led by AARP community ambassador Katherine Ponds. She will talk about the following:
Learn about the newest and best websites and apps to help with your job search so you can boost your online presence and search like a digital champ! You’ll also get tips on how to age-proof your resume and use keywords to get your resume noticed. While the workshop is designed for older adults, job seekers of any age are welcome.
The Workforce Resource Center's stated mission is to "connect job seekers and employers to meet their employment goals." The center is open to the public and all services are offered at no cost to both employers and job seekers.
