Director Appointed To Head Loudoun County New Real Estate Assets Office
The Office of Real Property Asset Management and Planning was created to oversee the county's real estate assets and will get a director.

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — Loudoun County's new office overseeing real estate assets will get its first director starting in the new year.
County Administrator Tim Hemstreet announced the appointment of Jacqueline Marsh as the first director of Loudoun County’s Office of Real Property Asset Management and Planning. Marsh has been an assistant director in Loudoun County's Department of Planning and Zoning. The new role will start on Jan. 2, 2025.
"Ms. Marsh has shown exceptional leadership since joining the county in 2016, demonstrated by her continual promotions within the Department of Planning and Zoning based on her excellent performance," said Hemstreet in a statement. "She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience that will continue to serve Loudoun in this important new role that will require coordination of complex work among many stakeholders including property owners, the Board of Supervisors and departments across the county government."

The county created the Office of Real Property Asset Management and Planning earlier in 2024 to fall within the Office of the County Administrator. The office will be responsible for managing the county's capital real estate assets, provide land acquisition function for capital projects in the county's adopted Capital Improvement Program, conduct due diligence on potential real estate transactions, and coordinate with other county departments and Loudoun County Public Schools on long-term planning for acquisitions.
Before joining Loudoun County, Marsh was a planner with Frederick, Maryland, has planning experience in other Maryland localities and had property appraisal roles in Pennsylvania. Marsh has a master’s degree in real estate development from the University of Maryland, a master’s degree in library information science from the University of Pittsburgh and a bachelor’s degree in geography from Shippensburg University.
