LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA—St. Patrick's Day is Sunday, so naturally, the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint on . . . Friday. Nevertheless, LCSO officers will be on proactive patrol throughout the weekend for impaired motorists.

Says LCSO sheriff Mike Chapman: "Be responsible or risk a DUI. If you are going to celebrate this weekend with alcohol, designate a sober driver before your celebration begins."

Assisting in Friday night's checkpoint at an undisclosed locale will be members of the Loudoun Sheriff's Office Auxiliary Unit, as well as volunteers from the Loudoun chapter of Mothers Against Drunk Driving, or MADD.
