Explosion, Fire Reported To 911 In Ashburn, Fatality Confirmed
Loudoun County Fire and Rescue said one person was found dead during a response to a potential explosion and fire.

ASHBURN, VA — There is a heavy police and fire response in Ashburn Monday morning after 911 callers reported an explosion and fire. Loudoun County Fire and Rescue said one person was found dead.
Before 8 a.m., units responded to an explosion report in the 21000 block of Green Stable Square in Ashburn. Other 911 callers advised that there was heavy smoke and a possible fire in the woods. Firefighters encountered a fire in an outdoor maintenance area.
Units worked to put out the fire and found a victim who had died. The victim's identity has not been released. The medical examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.
