Hotel Door On Fire In Sterling Leads To Arson Charges
The Loudoun County Fire Marshal's Office determined a door to an occupied room was intentionally set on fire.
STERLING, VA — An arson charge resulted from an investigation into a hotel room door on fire Wednesday, according to the Loudoun County Fire and Rescue Fire Marshal’s Office.
Loudoun County Fire and Rescue had responded after 12 p.m. Wednesday to the 45000 block of Holiday Drive, which is a location with hotel uses. Firefighters found a door on fire at an occupied room. The room's occupant put out the fire after noticing smoke coming from under the door.
The fire marshal's office determined the fire was intentionally set and located the suspect on scene. Anthony James Delisio, 33, was arrested and charged with arson of an occupied dwelling and arson of personal property. Delisio was taken to the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center and was held without bond.
