The fire marshal's office has charged a person in a January fire involving a semi truck and dumpster.

STERLING, VA — An intentionally set fire in Sterling has led to an arrest, according to the Loudoun County Fire and Rescue Fire Marshal’s Office.

The fire happened on Jan. 13 in the 20900 block of Davenport Drive in Sterling, which is the area of the Regal Center shopping center. According to the fire marshal, units responded to a 911 call about a vehicle fire and found a dumpster and back of a semi-tractor-trailer on fire. The fire did not extend to any other surrounding structures, and there were no injuries.

The fire marshal's office determined the fire's cause was incendiary, or intentionally set. On Saturday, the fire marshal's office arrested Erazo Ricardo Guerrero, 21, of Sterling, with assistance from the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. Guerrero is charged with one count of burning or destroying personal property, standing grain, etc. and was held at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center.
