New Southern-Inspired Restaurant Plans Opening Near Ashburn Metro

A new restaurant specializing in Southern fare and juleps is coming to a development near the Ashburn Metro.

ASHBURN, VA — A new restaurant bringing the flavors of Kentucky and the rest of the South is coming to Ashburn.

Loudoun Station developer Comstock announced that Juleps Kentucky Tavern has signed a lease at 43781 Central Station Drive in Ashburn. The location is the Loudoun Station mixed-use development connected to the Ashburn Metro station. The restaurant comes from Northern Virginia restaurateur Reese Gardner, who is behind Copperwood Tavern, Brass Rabbit and the former Pinemoor in Arlington.

"Juleps Kentucky Tavern is an outstanding new addition to Loudoun Station and the surrounding community," said Tim Steffan, chief operating officer at Comstock. "Its unique theme and undeniable ambiance will give residents and visitors yet another strong reason to stay, connect, and enjoy everything the neighborhood has to offer."

According to the developer, "Juleps Kentucky Tavern will bring the welcoming spirit and rich culinary heritage of the Bluegrass State to Loudoun County." Juleps Kentucky Tavern will occupy a 6,500 square feet of retail space at 43781 Central Station Drive in Loudoun Station. A bar and communal seating will be offered to accommodate casual diners and larger groups.

Diners can expect a menu with Southern-inspired fare, house-made juleps with rotating flavors, a curated bourbon selection, local craft beers and more. An opening date has not been announced.

"Juleps Kentucky Tavern will be a warm and inviting gathering place that pays tribute to Kentucky’s rich traditions—from its bourbon heritage to its welcoming spirit," said Gardner. "We’re creating an experience rooted in comfort, character, and community."

Loudoun Station is home to numerous other restaurants, including Famous Toastery, bb.q chicken, Senor Tequila's, the future Curry Pizza House and more. Comstock recently announced the future opening of Greenheart Juice Shop as well.
