Juvenile Hospitalized After Being Hit By Vehicle In Ashburn: LCSO

ASHBURN, VA—A juvenile was hospitalized Wednesday afternoon after being hit by a vehicle in the area of Claiborne Parkway and Wynridge Drive, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

Shortly after 3:30 p.m., police went to the scene for a reported accident. They found that the driver of a 2013 RAV4 was making a left turn from Claiborne Parkway onto Wynridge Drive when she hit a juvenile pedestrian. The victim was lawfully crossing the road and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of minor injuries. The driver was charged with failure to yield to a pedestrian.
