Two children were injured Saturday night in a crash the driver doesn't remember, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

STERLING, VA—Two children were injured Saturday night in a crash the driver doesn't remember, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. Deysi C. Monterroso-Mayen, 25, of Sterling, was arrested and charged with two felony counts of child neglect, driving under the influence, refusal of a breath test and driving without a driver's license.
Another passenger in the vehicle, Henry Lopez, 32, of Sterling, was charged with public intoxication. The children were taken to a local hospital with injuries not considered life threatening.
Shortly before 8 p.m., police went to the 500 block of East Maple Avenue for a report of a vehicle "with heavy front end damage." They found that the two adult occupants were under the influence, and that two unrestrained children were in the vehicle. LCSO spokesman Aleksandra Kowalski said Monday it's "unknown how the crash happened (because) the driver did not remember."
