Armed Bank Robbery Suspect Wanted By Loudoun County Sheriff's Office

A suspect is wanted after an armed bank robbery that drew a heavy law enforcement presence on Wednesday.

STERLING, VA — The suspect in an armed bank robbery Wednesday in Sterling remains wanted, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

The robbery happened in the 20000 block of Davenport Drive in Sterling, a block where a Bank of America is located. Sheriff's deputies responded around 3 p.m. Wednesday after an armed robber entered the building, displayed a weapon and demanded money. The suspect left the scene and has not been arrested.

The suspect was described as a white man wearing a black face mask, black jacket, gray pants and backpack under his jacket. He was driving a gray Ford Escape with no tags and under-inflated tires on the driver side.

The sheriff's office has released surveillance footage of the suspect.
