Loudoun County Schools Weather Decision Made For Feb. 13
Loudoun County Public Schools is adjusting its schedule on Tuesday due to the potential of snowfall.

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — As potential snowfall could disrupt Tuesday morning in parts of the county, Loudoun County Public Schools will be closed Tuesday.
LCPS cited the potential for snowfall and unsafe road conditions in western Loudoun County and the challenging timing of the snowfall forecast. Administrative offices will open at 10 a.m. on Tuesday. Scheduled activities beyond 4 p.m. may be allowed, and LCPS will make an announcement by noon Tuesday.
Loudoun County is under a winter weather advisory from 3 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday. In western Loudoun, the National Weather Service expects snow with accumulations between 1 inch and localized 3 inches. In eastern Loudoun, forecasters call for rain transitioning to snow with accumulations up to 2 inches of snow.

The rain could change to snow between 5 a.m. and 7 a.m. with heavy snow at times. Forecasters expect slippery road conditions during the morning.
