Man Found Murdered Near Loudoun County: Police UPDATE
UPDATE: A man was found dead following a single-vehicle crash Sunday near the Loudoun County line, and police now say he was murdered.

CLARKE COUNTY, VA—A man was found dead following a single-vehicle crash late Sunday morning near the Loudoun County line in Clarke County, and his death is now being investigated as a murder, Virginia State Police announced Monday. They previously said his injuries were "inconsistent with a traffic crash."
Around 11:30 a.m., police responded to a crash in the aforementioned location. They found that a gray Chevrolet pickup headed east on Route 7 ran off the road near Castleman Road and crashed into an embankment. The driver's remains were taken to the Office of the Medical Examiner in Manassas for examination and autopsy. The man was the lone occupant of the vehicle.
Further investigation found there had been an argument between the pickup's driver and another man on Castleman Road during which shots were fired. The truck the left the scene and traveled a short distance before running off the road.
