Man Hospitalized After Hit-And-Run Crash In Sterling: LCSO
A pedestrian was hospitalized after being struck by a hit-and-run driver Friday night while crossing a road in Sterling, says the LCSO.

STERLING, VA—A pedestrian was hospitalized after being struck by a hit-and-run driver Friday night while crossing Route 7 at Harry Byrd High Highway and Campus Drive, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. Several hours later, Rebecca Serrano, 68, of Ashburn, was charged with "hit and run involving injury."
Around 9:55 p.m., police responded to the scene and found that a man was hit while crossing the road, and that the driver didn't remain on the scene. The man was taken to an area hospital with injuries not considered life threatening.
About three hours after the crash, Serrano arrived at the Eastern Loudoun Station to turn herself in to authorities. LCSO spokesman Kraig Troxell said Monday there's no indication that alcohol was involved but added that "we cannot provide information regarding witness, victim or arrestee statements with pending court proceedings." The man was not in a crosswalk.
