Man Terrorizes Couple In Sterling: Police
A man was arrested after smashing the window of a vehicle with two people inside and then chasing them in Sterling, according to the LCSO.

STERLING, VA—A man was arrested Tuesday morning after smashing the window of a vehicle with two people inside in the 22000 block of Dulles Retail Plaza and then chasing them on foot before being subdued, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. Ponce O. Chavarria, 38, of Sterling, was charged with robbery, two counts of simple assault, destruction of property, stalking and violation of a protective order (second in five years).
Shortly after 10 a.m., police responded to the aforementioned area and found that Chavarria approached the female, who he knows, and another man who were in a vehicle. He slashed a tire and then broke a window to try to get in—and that's when the victims got out and fled on foot. Chavarria chased them before fleeing himself. He was found by responding deputies and taken to jail, where he was being held without bond.
