Picnickers Accosted By Branch-Waving Man In Sterling: LCSO
Here's something you don't experience every day or, for that matter, ever. But it happened to three folks having a picnic in Sterling: LCSO.

STERLING, VA—Here's something you don't experience every day or, for that matter, ever. But three people having a picnic early Tuesday night, April 30, were witness to the following odd episode at Algonkian Regional Park in the area of Fairway Drive and Cascades Parkway, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.
Namely, while the folks were enjoying the nice weather and an alfresco meal shortly before 7:30 p.m., an unknown man suddenly ran toward them with a large tree branch in his hand. He then attempted to fight one of the picnickers. They called police, and the man fled in the direction of the Potomac River.
Upon arrival, officers found the man—who was still carrying the tree branch. Timothy R. Wolfe, 25, of Sterling, was arrested and charged with public intoxication, with more charges possible. For their part, the picnickers declined to press charges.
