An entertainment venue with a restaurant and bar is breaking ground at a mixed-use development.

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — Pinstack, a bowling alley and entertainment center with a restaurant, broke ground Friday at Loudoun County's Kincora mixed-use development.
This will be the first Pinstack location in Virginia. The 56,000-square-foot entertainment venue will include a full-service modern American restaurant, full-service bar, bowling lanes, an arcade, bumper cars, rock climbing and private event spaces. The location of the bowling venue is 45275 Knowledge Drive, Sterling, VA at the Kincora development. The 424-acre mixed-use development is located near the intersection of Route 7 and Route 28 between Ashburn and Sterling.
Pinstack is expected to open in 2026. Another attraction, the Northern Virginia Science Center, broke ground at Kincora in the spring and is expected to open in late 2027.

Developers and local leaders were on hand for the Pinstack groundbreaking on Friday.
"Pinstack will add to the list of facilities at Kincora that will be more than just a local attraction," said Supervisor Sylvia Glass (D-Broad Run), whose district Kincora is located in. "It will draw from all over the region."

Buddy Rizer, executive director of Loudoun Economic Development, said the county has been working with Pinstack and Kincora on the project for several years. He said an economic development study showed Loudoun County needs more entertainment options.
"When we think about those kinds of things, we see Pinstack as a cornerstone of this entire area," said Rizer. "I think it's great that it's kind of on the corner because it will serve as the real hub to make sure that this whole area develops in a really smart but also a very welcome and integrated way."
Loudoun County Chamber membership director Yasmeen Shields said at the groundbreaking that Kincora already has more than 1,000 residents as well as 1 million square feet of retail and office space.
"Bringing Pinstack at Kincora brings together the vision of Loudoun County being a destination for economic growth, for creating jobs and building communities for families of all sizes," said Shields.

Kincora, a development from TRITEC, has already developed 200 townhouse-style condos by Lennar, 333 luxury apartments by TRITEC called The Jameson, 96 affordable units called the Heronview, two-level condos from DRB Homes, a Wawa convenience store, Cyrus One's 1.3 million-square-foot data center and nature trails. Along with the future Pinstack and science center, it will be home to the future National Museum of Intelligence and Special Operations.
