Public Meeting to Discuss Academies of Loudoun

The Loudoun County Citizen Volunteer Workgroup will hold a public information session Monday, Sept. 29 to discuss the proposed Academies of Loudoun.
A referendum to finance construction of the Academies of Loudoun will appear on the November election ballot.Academies of Loudoun would be built along Sycolin Road, combining the expanded versions of the existing Academy of Science and C.S. Monroe Technologies Center as well as the new Academy of Engineering and Technology.
The session takes place from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Loudoun County Public Schools Administration Building, located at 21000 Education Court in Ashburn. The meeting will include a presentation and a Q&A session featuring School Board Chairman Eric Hornberger and Ashburn District Supervisor Ralph Buona, co-chair of the Joint Board of Supervisors/School Standing Committee.
