Redskins Player Arrested For Assault In Ashburn: LCSO
Washington Redskins defensive back Montae Nicholson and a female acquaintance were arrested Tuesday following a fight in Ashburn: LCSO.
ASHBURN, VA—Washington Redskins defensive back Montae Nicholson and a female acquaintance were arrested early Tuesday following a fight in the 20400 block of Exchange Street, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. He was charged with assault and battery and drunk in public.
In a statement, the Redskins said "We are aware of the arrest of Montae Nicholson. We are gathering more information and will not comment until we have further details." The acquaintance, Sydney A. Maggiore, 24, of Vienna, was charged with malicious wounding and assault and battery.
Shortly before 2 a.m., police responded to the scene for a reported fight in which a man and a woman were assaulted by Nicholson and Maggiore. One of the victims said the fight started when Nicholson and Maggiore pulled up and honked the horn at them.

An argument ensued, during which Nicholson assaulted the man and Maggiore hit the woman with a bottle and also assaulted the other man. Nicholson and Maggiore returned to the scene when police arrived. Both victims were taken to a hospital with serious injuries not considered life threatening.
