Ribbon-Cutting For New Data Center Set For Ashburn
Here's a chance to get an up-close look at one of the area's newer data centers, when Vantage Data Centers holds a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

ASHBURN, VA—Here's a chance for customers and industry members to get an up-close look at one of the area's newer data centers. Vantage Data Centers will have a ribbon-cutting ceremony 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Thursday, May 23, at 1300 Moran Road. Site tours will follow.
On hand will be Vantage president and CEO Sureel Choksi, Buddy Rizer, executive director for economic development in Loudoun County and Josh Levi, vice president for policy for the Northern Virginia Technology Council.
Vantage Data Centers announced in October 2017 the acquisition of 42 acres in Ashburn and plans for a $1 billion campus. At the time, it was the first Vantage facility outside the West Coast. Other Vantage data systems are in Silicon Valley, Phoenix, Quincy, WA, Montreal and Quebec. In all, it has 10 operational facilities totaling 98MW of capacity.

The Ashburn campus is yet another address for Loudoun County's so-called "Data Center Alley," so dubbed because more than 70 percent of the world's Internet traffic runs through Loudoun's digital infrastructure.
According to the company, Vantage Data Centers "provides highly scalable, flexible and efficient data center solutions to hyperscale, cloud and enterprise customers, offering unique value through its commitment to exceptional customer service and sustainability."
